Robyn Gardner's Final Hours in Aruba Captured

Newly unearthed video from a surveillance camera in Aruba shows Robyn Gardner visiting a restaurant with Gary Giordano late in the afternoon on the day she went missing.

The surveillance tape, portions of which were aired Monday on NBC`s Today show, features footage of Gardner and Giordano arriving at the beachfront eatery at 3:07 p.m. on Aug. 2.

He is seen walking a few step in face of her, in a black short-sleeve shirt, khaki shorts and white sneakers. She appears carefree in a striped sun dress, high heels, black sunglasses and a black shoulder bag. Both are carrying blue plastic cups, which witnesses have said contained vodka and orange juice.

Shortly afterward they arrive, Gardner, 35, is seen heading to the bathroom. She pauses, appears to lead back to the restaurant, then does go fully into the bathroom. She comes out a short time later, without her sunglasses on, and returns to the restaurant.

At 3:57 p.m. Giordano returns to their rental car outside and refills his blue cup, going back inside at 4 p.m. Seven minutes later, Gardner heads to the bath again. One witness has said that at this period she seems sober but groggy.

They leave together at 4:13 pm. appearing to be talking normally, with Giordano again walking ahead of Gardner but stopping and wait for her to get up at one point.

Giordano next appears on the record at 6:16 p.m. He is shirtless, wearing only a bathing suit and sneakers, and is seen knocking on doors at the restaurant, apparently seeking help. Just before this, Giordano has claimed, he and Gardner took a snorkeling trio from which, he says, Gardner never returned.

Police and others have questioned Giordano`s story.

He was arrested while trying to give the island and stiff in Aruban custody six weeks later. He is the principal suspect in Gardner`s disappearance, though he has not yet been formally charged with a crime.
