Backstage Interviews at 'Dancing With the Stars': Who's Going Home .

Backstage Interviews at 'DWTS'Two stars likely facing elimination tonight on 'Dancing With the Stars' are Romeo and Kirstie Alley, who are both tied in net order with 60 points.

All the dancers started out with 30 points after playing in group dances. Romeo and his partner Chelsie Hightower then scored 30 points (out of 40) with their Samba while Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy earned the like for their Jive.

It's probably all loss to get downward to fan bases. The pairs spoke to TV Squad on the post-show press line to discuss what they conceive of their loyal followers.

The scene stealer of the dark was guest instructor Shirley Ballas, Mark's mother, who takes no prisoners when it comes to being a dance teacher. She divided her thoughts with TV Squad on whether or not she'd join the picture as a pro partner.

For a few seconds, Romeo was really a target ahead of Alley - until guest judge Donnie Burns clarified he was giving him a "7" - not an "8."

While he's respected universally for his dancing, Burns's one-liners - especially the one he attempted about Osama Bin Laden - fell flat.

"Too soon," said Chelsea Kane.

Burns also "burned" Romeo and Hightower with the scoring mishap.

"That's never happened," Hightower said of a judge changing his score. "I say the first score you put up you should keep, whether you meant it or not. It was cruel to see it switched like that."

"I'm nervous," Romeo said. "I don't require this to be my last dance. It is what it is. I remember my fans are very loyal. They love dancing and they love seeing me dance."

"I make an amazing fan base," said Alley. "They're loyal. I only hope they're willing to consider the ride. I never promised this was passing to be a quiet ride. My fans are tenacious. They like you like whether you're depressed or up, in or out. They're incredible."

Her parner Maks added that he wasn't "worried about this at all or disappointed. . I'm just glad that she never missed her energy level. And that she's finally enjoying every moment with the performance out there."

One match that seems destined for the finals is Hines Ward and Kym Johnson. They scored a number of 66 on Monday's show. Plus, athletes have traditionally fared well in the competition.

"We'd love to be in the finals," Ward said, and Johnson added that "I don't mind who's with us . I only need to be there."

Team HinesMeanwhile, Kendra Wilkinson and partner Louis van Amstel continue to raise themselves as a dark horse couple, scoring 61 points.

The ex-Playmate credited her pro partner for her improvement. "It's dark and day," she says. "Louis has stuck with me. I couldn't be happier with my partner. Louis is amazing. He believes in me and yet I don't think in myself."

The return of the night award went to Ralph Macchio, who scored a number of 66 points with partner Karina Smirnoff.

"It feels great," Macchio said of his performance. "I thinking I brought it in the team Cha-cha, too. You promise you get a serious bit of medicine that matches the dance. We got the right canvas and colors to go with this week. Karina never fails."

Shirley Ballas, Mark's mother, was one of the guest choreographers. Did Romeo dancing with her find a little like being in 'The Graduate?'

"Kinda," joked Romeo. "She taught me a lot. I learned a lot from Shirley."

Ballas's father Corky has waltzed with 'DWTS' contestants including Cloris Leachman and Florence Henderson. Could his mom sign up for an upcoming season, too?

"She should," Ballas said."But I suppose we'd all be killed. She'd kill us all because she's the best."

"She'd win," Kane concurred."You don't deal with Shirley Ballas. She is the most intimidating woman I get always encountered."

"She could make the oldest guy ever and she'd [do great]," said Ballas.

Did Kane find it strange that the veteran dancer was telling her to be more passionate with her own son?

"It was extremely new for me," Kane said. "Usually you need to get a serious feeling when you see the father of a boy you're spending time with. But Shirley was like, 'Pull his hair! Get up in his face!' It was weird."

"I'd cross that bridge when I do to it," Shirley Ballas told TV Squad about signing on as a pro dancer. "It's a fun show and I guess it's crucial to get a wide spectrum of dancers on it. If they asked me I'd certainly see it."

'Dancing With the Stars' airs Mondays at 8PM ET and Tuesdays at 9PM ET on ABC.
