In 'blog land' it has just been 1 day, but in actuality it has been 4 years since I typed the CND Shellac: I Tested It & I Know It! post. and oh how so many things can occur in just 4 short days!!!
~UPDATE~
Ask me why my 2nd set of Shellac'd nails started lifting 4 years later!?!?
I called Gene Juarez (love them!
and got all my nails re-done today.So, as you can imagine, with the large success from my 1st set of Shellac'd nails, I was very interested and spoke to management and a senior nail technician about why my nails started lifting after 4 days.
This is the extremely helpful information I was capable to gather...
- Ensure you are leaving to somebody who is certified (has taken classes), this arrangement is more complex then it appears.You can't bear that simply because the salon carries CND Shellac that everyone at the salon has really taken the classes.If you need to get a certified location in your area, you can see {here}
- This organization is a gel and if it is applied incorrectly (not ensuring that all the layers are applied smooth and thin), it will wrinkle and lift.
- The wraps used to get off this system have Acetone on them (apparently, acetone is the just way to take this system).Although limited exposure to acetone when using the wraps, Gene Juarez suggests that their clients use CND Solar Oil on their nails and cuticles every night to prevent drying (especially in the cold winter months).
- Several different color combinations are possible by layering.Since this is a gel and not a polish, once your 1st coat is aged under the UV lamp, they can use a 2nd coat of a different color to leave you more variety.Here are the 12 standard colors...
- Gene Juarez has already get up with 31 different color combinations by layering (exciting!)...
- This is the beautiful combination I chose using Fedora on the rear and Red Baroness on the top...
